Photohunter: Blue

"Blue you sit so pretty west of the one"

(Hanauma Bay, Hawaii)

For me there is only one blue... the endless blue of the ocean. It is so fascinating words cannot describe it. Even if you only get to visit the edge, it's amazing; and if you get the chance to immerse yourself, it's like stepping into another world.

( Los_Cat at Blue Pearl Bay, Australia)

I can't remember a time when I was not fascinated by the ocean.

Fun ocean facts:

  • 70% of the world's oxygen is produced by organisms in the ocean
  • 70% of the world's surface living space is provided by oceans, and 95% of the world's living space by volume.
  • 20-50% of the world's species are found in the ocean (this number is skewed towards the terrestrial as more species have been identified on land, and the large number of insect species)

And there is still so much to learn!

Funny how some thinks water is blue.
Our rivers, lakes and etc are on greenish side.
Our were form by glacier.

Coffee is on.

Great shots. There is something so seductive about the sea. Being a rotten swimmer I am happy to watch from the shore. Happy weekend

Oh my, what a coincidence! I just emailed to a hire car place in Oahu.

I have been to Hanauma Bay! I have a photo taken with a big parrot thing.

I am thinking of going for Christmas with my son.

I love the ocean, too. I'm not sure I could ever live anywhere that wasn't within striking distance...:-) Wonderful images!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Isn't that beautiful! I just love the second picture, such nice, clear water, makes a person want to take a swim!

mmm...love the ocean! You're making me feel homesick. I grew up in Florida, am landlocked in Texas now.

Fell free to stop by and see my blue picture!

I love the sea but sad to say, I can't swim so I haven't tried exploring the wonders underwater.

it is sad to know that a lot of these are polluted. I know, pollution is a big problem here in our country.
